We all know there are four seasons in a year, but do you know how and why trees change throughout the seasons? In this activity we learned about how changes in temperature affect the growth of trees, as well as why the leaves change during each season. For our craft we made our own tree which displayed how trees look in ALL four seasons! While we put our craft together, we discussed activities that we enjoy doing in each season, like sledding in the winter and going to the beach in the summer. Our smart students also learned new terms such as photosynthesis (the process of how plants make their own food through sunlight) and chlorophyll (the chemical that makes leaves green).
