“Better to live one year as a tiger, than a hundred years as sheep.” - Madonna

Roar! That’s the sound a tiger makes! These animals are the biggest species in the cat family!  We learned ALL about them: how big they can get (the average tigers weighs about as much as ten 8 year old kids!), how long they can live (15 to 20 years), and what they eat (meat since they’re carnivores!). Did you know that every tiger’s stripes are never the same? Or that their claws are as long as house keys? Tigers can be found in grasslands, savannas, rainforests, and mangrove swamps. However, because humans are taking over these habitats, tigers are a threatened species. We learned about the importance of saving the tigers and then made our own tiger faces using paper plates and orange and black construction paper. First we ripped up the orange construction paper and then we glued it on the plate. Then, we cut strips of black paper to make the stripes of the tiger! We added orange ears and a black nose and then drew eyes on white paper and cut it out. Check out our tiger plates down below!
